The Northern Tier crew left bright and early this morning after an hour or so of shoehorning their gear and their bodies into a 15-passenger van. Scouts and parents:

I would like to say thank you to all the scouts and Mr. Neel, Mr. Miller and Mr. Nestor for taking the time today to be a part of something extremely nice for veterans who are being treated at Walter Reed hospital. Our scouts set up and decorated scores of picnic tables and tents, saluted the troops as they came off the buses, applauded them as they received special commemorative coins, mingled with them at the picnic, had their faces painted, provided some dance entertainment, and took down all the picnic tables, tents and chairs when we were done.

Great job. Those who were there all day should get 9 hours of community service. Those who were there half days should get 4.5.
