American Heritage Merit Badge:



  • Starts at Patriot Cruise

  • Trip in August to Fredericksburg and Kings Dominion


Troop Calendar for ’11:



  • Ben Lay and Connor Bryant are main planners

  • Patrols figure out ideas and give to Ben, Connor, or Matt


Summer Camp:



  • Patrol leaders have list of MB’s for summer camp

  • CHECK OUT WHAT YOUR MB SCHEDULE LIST IS AND MAKE NECESSARY CHANGES!

  • Competing in AquaFest

  • Sailing program:

  • Monday/Tuesday: Learn how to sail


  • Wednesday-Friday: Live on boats




New EDGE requirements (Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, Enable)



  • Star:  Teach a Scout certain requirements using EDGE


  • Tenderfoot:   Teach someone how to tie a square knot using EDGE




Theme of the month: Poisonous stuff



  • June 8th: Identifying poisonous animals and symptoms

  • June 15th: Identifying poisonous insects and symptoms

  • June 22nd: Identifying poisonous plants and symptoms

  • June 29th: Treating poisonous stuff


Patrol Assignments:



  • June 8th: Calvalry/Opening & Lawnmowing, T-birds/Game, Roadrunners/Instruction, Ferrets/Closing

  • June 15th: Roadrunners/Opening & Lawnmowing, Eagles/Game, Ferrets/Instruction, Calvalry/Closing

  • June 22nd: Ferrets/Opening & Lawnmowing, Roadrunners/Game, T-birds/Instruction, Eagles/Closing

  • June 29th: Eagles/Opening & Lawnmowing, Ferrets/Game, Calvalry/Instruction, Roadrunners/Closing

  • July 6th: No meeting or PLC (Summer Camp at Lions)

  • After Summer Camp / Roadrunner merge, Lawnmowing and Opening will be separated

  • July 13th: T-birds/Lawnmowing, Bears/Opening, Eagles/Game, Ferrets/Instruction, Calvalry/Closing

  • July 20th: Calvalry/Lawnmowing, T-birds/Opening, Bears/Game, Eagles/Instruction, Ferrets/Closing

  • July 27th: PLC

  • From now on, PLCs will be the last Tuesday of the month


Merit Badge Approval:



  • Communications: Open to no more than 5 Scouts, senior scouts have priority, can’t have been MC for something while working on Comm. merit badge (Will voted against; Nick, Ross, Max, Henry, and Spencer voted for)

  • Archaeology: minimum of 13 people, sign-up sheet next meeting (All voted for)


You can make anything for patrols (shirts, songs, etc.)


National Jamboree (30-31 of July):



  • Mr. Race in charge

  • Camping in Baigis farm

  • Jamboree during day of 31 July


T-shirt designs:



  • Due Sunday
